Senior IT Project Manager

The IT Project Manager shall serve as a IT Project Manager working for the Manager of PMO, Technology Department, which is responsible for the management and implementation of departmental tasks and projects. This individual must be highly skilled, knowledgeable and experienced with project management and PMO Support.  The successful candidate may work independently as well as with both consultant and staff resources of different Units and Departments.
  • Provide project management support and be responsible for creating and maintaining all project documents associated with the Project Management Office (PMO) such as project charter, organization chart, project schedule, risk management plan, test plans communication, training and deployment plans, meeting minutes etc., following the TEC's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
  • Provide project oversite for high profile technology projects.
  • Provide enhancements to the SDLC methodology and corresponding templates.
  • Prepare for and host client meetings to review project status.
  • Provide regular reports on departmental metrics and time allocations.
  • Work with business analysts and users to identify business requirements and develop functional specifications. 
  • Maintain safe, clean and productive working environment by establishing and enforcing procedures, rules and regulations.  
  • Five (5) years’ experience managing IT projects
  • Baccalaureate degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience implementing complex software packages requiring configuration and balancing stakeholder requirements with tight timelines.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project and Visio.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues within the team crossing departmental boundaries.
